Eligibility FAQs

  • The free and reduced-price lunch eligibility calculator you see here reflects the Income Eligibility Guidelines for the 48 contiguous US States (including Utah) published here by the USDA for the 2024-2025 school year. These Guidelines are duplicated here for ease of access, and are meant to be used as a resource for determining eligibility for free and reduced-price meals, free milk, and Summer Electronic Benefit Transfer benefits for the period from July 1, 2024 through June 30, 2025. These guidelines are used by schools, institutions, and facilities participating in the National School Lunch Program (and Commodity School Program), School Breakfast Program, Special Milk Program for Children, Child and Adult Care Food Program, and Summer Food Service Program. Note that these Guidelines change year to year, and are subject to updates at any time. This information was last updated by UTLDR on 8/1/2024. Your ultimate eligibility will be determined when you submit your application for free and reduced-price school lunch to your child's school district.
